The piece
A pan box in the shape of a resting duck, every feather engraved and inlaid. Made in the Deccan for the ritual of betel — the lid lifts at the back.

Caring for it
Bidri darkens with handling, as it should. Wipe with a soft cloth and a drop of coconut oil now and then; never use metal polish.
